At St. Mary of the Assumption, we believe that financial strain or hardship should never stand in the way of your child receiving religious education. Therefore, we've created our Free-Tuition Mission! Our Faith Formation and Sacramental Prep programs for our children are tuition-free!
"Like Baptism which it completes, Confirmation imprints on the soul an indelible spiritual mark, the "character," which is the sign that Jesus Christ has marked a Christian with the seal of his Spirit by clothing him with power from on high so that he may be his witness." (CCC 1304)Parishes in the Archdiocese of Baltimore have adopted a universal norm, setting age 9 (typically 4th grade) as the standard earliest age for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

The mission of Virtus is to educate and empower everyone (individually and collectively) to ensure optimal safe environments for children and the vulnerable.
We’d be honored to have you share your time and talents with our parish community. To get started, please complete the required training at virtusonline.org.
If you have any questions or need assistance, contact our Virtus Volunteer Screening Coordinator, Paula Mackey, at [email protected].
