Participation in the Mass is at the heart of Catholic life. Through the Eucharist, Scripture, music, and prayer, we are formed as the Body of Christ—strengthened within our parish community and sent out to serve the world.
Liturgical ministry is one way parishioners live out their baptismal call to be Christ to others. Whether serving in the sanctuary, proclaiming the Word, assisting with hospitality, or supporting prayerful worship, each ministry plays an essential role in the life of the Church.
There are many ways to participate in the liturgical life of St. Mary’s. Training and guidance are provided for all ministries.
Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon during Mass and other liturgical celebrations, helping the liturgy flow with reverence and care.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass, helping the Scriptures come alive for the congregation through prayerful preparation and clear proclamation.
Extraordinary Ministers assist with the distribution of the Eucharist during Mass and may also bring Holy Communion to the sick and homebound when needed.
Ushers help create a welcoming and orderly worship environment by assisting with seating, collections, and supporting parishioners before, during, and after Mass.
Join us for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament—quiet time to pray, listen, and rest in the Lord’s presence. All are welcome.
Men and woman who feel called to ordained service in the Church may explore discernment toward the Permanent Diaconate. This is a prayerful, long-term process supported by the parish and diocese.
If you feel called to serve in any liturgical ministry—Altar Server, Lector, Extraordinary Minister, Usher, or Diaconate discernment—we invite you to complete the Liturgical Ministry Interest Form on this page.
Someone from our parish team will follow up with you and provide next steps.
